Dr MAURICE PISCIOTTANO : MEDICAL FACTORS AFFECTING PATIENT CARE

Dr Moe Pisciottano has realized that patient care is influenced by both medical and non-medical factors. While medical factors are within the capacity of physicians to control, the non-medical factors may prove to be uncontrollable. The Mechanical Motion Therapy clinic by Dr Moe has been adversely affected by the medical factors than any other factors.  Let us have a look at some of these medical factors and their effects of patient care.

·         Recurrent medical problems

Chiropractic care just like most other treatment procedures is faced with cases of unsuccessful attempts to treat patients. For instance, some of the patients who come to seek chiropractic care for their aching tissues may suffer from recurrence of the pain. This happens mostly where the cause of the pain is a fatal accident such that body tissues got displaced. Dr Maurice Pisciottano has had to deal with several such cases in his career.

·         Lack of competent personnel

The success of patient's treatment is highly dependent on the know-how skills by the physician. Sometimes you may wrongly consult a physician without knowing that he is not qualified to handle your case or probably is outside his scoop of operation. This is likely to jeopardize the success of your treatment procedure.  Unfortunately, it is not easy to tell if a chiropractor is qualified or not unless by looking at the accreditation documents by the law.

·         Extreme side effects of drugs

Patient's care is likely to be affected negatively and adversely by the resultant side effects of drugs. I have personally heard of patients who died as a result of extreme side effects of drugs. Dr Moe advises patients to always be careful about the physicians they entrust their health with.
Despite the fact that the chiropractic care is faced with lots of challenges, Dr Pisciottano has been able to come up with intelligent strategies to overcome them.
